Console Scuba Diving Computer

The previous post mentioned of wrist scuba diving computer and mask scuba diving computer. Well, these are but two of the three types of scuba diving computer classified in terms of how it is worn or carried by the scuba diver. This post touches on the third type of scuba diving computer - the console dive computer.

While a wrist dive computer is strapped to the wrist and mask dive computer is worn on the face, the console dive computer is fastened to the scuba diving equipment itself using a hose. Another difference between a console dive computer and the wrist dive computer is that the console dive computer is usually complemented with a pressure gauge. Moreover, the display is typically larger on console scuba diving computers than on wrist scuba diving computers, making it easy to read for the scuba diver.

It is up to the scuba diver to choose the type of scuba diving computer to buy according to his ease of use, and the price range.
